Kelisha Johnson Does It Again!!!!

Kelisha Johnson completed the double when winning the 100m (14.1) and long jump (4.13m) at this year London Youth Games ParaGames.

This is the second time she has completed the double after winning her first ParaGames in 2015. Due to bad weather, the 2016 event was called off.

SIX off to the English school Championships

Team Hounslow AC have 6 athletes heading to Birmingham to represent Middlesex at this year’s English School National Championships.
The ESAA National Championships are the 4th largest athletics event in the World.
Entry to the event is by virtue of athletes being selected by County Team Managers to represent their County.
Last year we had our first ever representative in Jak Mensah who came back with a Silver medal in the boys 200m
Jak goes again this year after moving up an age group hoping to go one better and bring back the gold this time around.
UK number 1 Josiah Wilson, will be making the trip hoping to continue his fine first season in the triple jump, and bring back some hardware.
Aidan Aherne, will complete in the highly competitive 800m event. Aidan is rounding into fine form and will be hoping to make the final where he can push for a medal.
Paulo Belchior, goes in the 300m and is another one finding his form in time for the championships.
Cedelle Agyei-Kyem, will be aiming to continue her amazing season which has seen her undefeated in the 300m, stepping down for the 200m for this event. Reece Williamson, one of the clubs longest serving members goes in the Long Jump after his massive personal best at the Borough championships.

Virgin Money Giving Mini London Marathon

The Virgin Money Giving Mini London Marathon is the official British Athletics 5km road championships for young athletes aged between 11 and 17.
This year’s Virgin Money Giving London Marathon saw 1056 youngsters run the last 5km of the main marathon course. Runners finished in the Mall just ahead of the elite marathon runners.
Team Hounslow were represented by 16 young runners and had some outstanding results.
The top performances of the day were by Jonathan Bartholomew who ran the under 15 race in 17.11 finishing 102nd.
A huge congratulations goes out to all the young runners that took part, who all received a marathon medal, goody bag and finishers t-shirt.

Dorota smashes club record

Among the record 39,487 finishers on Sunday, Team Hounslow’s Dorota Rakowicz completed the 42k course in 3hrs.35.51.

Dorota’s performance has earned her an automatic entry into 2018 London Marathon.

This is an amazing achievement for Dorota and the club.

Easter holidays

Wednesday 29th March will be the date for the last under 11 and under 18 sessions until after the Easter holidays. The sessions will start up again on Wednesday 19th April.

Dorota’s  adult track sessions will continue, being run by Jiv while Dorota is away.
